“Do you know that bees, wasps and ants kill far more people in the United States every year than all other venomous animals combined – including snakes? They are also the only creatures likely to kill you quickly and a bee sting can happen anywhere – not just out in the wilderness! Do you and your employees know how to respond to save a life?”

þ         Training is adapted to your organization and its needs.

þ         Replaces dangerous rumors and myths with sound information based on current biological and medical research.

þ         Covers all native terrestrial animals that are venomous enough to routinely produce significant illness in humans – including spiders, scorpions, social insects (bees, wasps & ants) and reptiles.

þ         You decide the training time – short briefings to classes of 2 hours or more.

þ         Fee is not based on audience size – train as many people as you want.

þ         A two hour class can cover identification, avoiding injury, recognition of symptoms, and up-to-date first aid procedures for all species –  or Mike can deliver a customized program to suit your specific needs.

þ         Mike has delivered hundreds of presentations to thousands of people around the United States; previous audiences have included multiple national conferences of the Wilderness Medical Society and National Association for Search & Rescue, plus training for Southern California Edison Co., Southern California Gas Co., Los Angeles City Water & Power, San Bernardino County Fire, Health, and Sheriff’s Departments, and California Departments of Fish & Game, Justice, Parks & Recreation, Transportation, and Water Resources, as well as numerous other symposia and conferences for emergency medical personnel, animal control officers, firefighters, peace officers, park rangers, construction workers, etc. etc. Mike has taught the envenomation segments of the paramedic programs for Loma Linda University School of Medicine and Riverside City College and he is a peer-reviewer for the medical journal Wilderness & Environmental Medicine.

þ         Mike is now based in Sacramento, California (Yes – I’ve relocated from southern California! )
